Hong Kong-based Dah Sing Life Assurance (DSLA) has completed implementation of eBaoTech LifeSystem suite to run its conventional and unit-linked life insurance operations.

Accomplished in two phases, the implementation has enabled the company to migrate all existing data from the legacy systems into eBaoTech LifeSystem, and expand its product portfolio, reinsurance capabilities, and customer service functions.

Completed in March 2012, Phase 1 implementation involved replacement of multiple legacy systems and deployment of standardized and automated processes for replacement of previous manual procedures.

Comprising migration of existing customer data from legacy systems to eBaoTech LifeSystem, integration with DSLA's CRM solution, and addition of direct marketing and telemarketing channels, Phase 2 was successfully completed in April.

eBaoTech LifeSystem was selected by DSLA for replacement of its legacy systems running its traditional life and unit-linked businesses in January 2011.

Dah Sing Life Assurance Insurance Information Technology head Stephen Chow said the deployment of BaoTech LifeSystem enables the company to consolidate its business onto a centralized system.

''This dramatically improves our operational efficiency,'' Chow added.

The suite will help the company to enhance its operational efficiency, quickly modify products to respond faster to market changes, shorten customer response time and improve customer satisfaction for claims processing and customer service.
