The Massachusetts Property Insurance Underwriting Association (MPIUA) has increased its online submissions by over 45% with the adoption of Agencyport Software’s web-based distribution product, AgencyPortal, in April.
MPIUA provides basic property insurance on eligible Massachusetts properties for applicants who have been unable to gain insurance through the voluntary market.
AgencyPortal platform includes all the components required to extend the workflow of a carrier's policy processing environment out to its producers.
Prior to the deployment of AgencyPortal, MPIUA staff used to manually key in all application data sent to it by producers.
Agencyport Software co-CEO Steve Hauck said that while many Agencyport customers are driven to the company's solutions by outside competitive pressures, improved internal efficiencies and expense reduction, like those seen by MPIUA, are equally compelling motivators.
"Less human touch means faster processes and fewer errors; all of which is good business," Hauck added.
